BRETT RATTEN
BRETT RATTEN is the current CARLTON BLUES Head Coach, and had a number of afl trading cards released over the years.
Ratten played 255 Games and kicked 117 goals in a distinguished playing career at Carlton from 1990- 2003. He was recruited from Yarra Glen (VIC) and worked his way through the playing ranks from the Carlton under 19’s.
Ratten was very highly regarded at Carlton, and proved his quality in 1995 when he won the Club Best & Fairest award in this Premiership Year. He won the award again in 1997 and was joint winner with Scott Camporeale in 2000, as well as being selected as a Victorian State Rep in 1996.
He was renowned for his ball-winning skills and ferocious and prolific tackling of opposition players. Ratten was known as a scrupulously fair player and was selected as Carltons Club Captain in 2002. Brett Ratten’s 2002 All Australian is one of the afl trading cards currently in stock.
Brett Ratten replaced Dennis Pagan as Carlton Coach in late 2007.
